On-Demand, In-House Card Services.
Multi Service provides in-house card embossing and encoding services for private label programs that require plastic cardstock. The information embossed on your customers’ cards is customized to fit your program requirements. Information requirements for our various commercial payment programs may include:
- Cardholder or purchaser name,
- PO requirements,
- Tax exemptions,
- Card expiration data or
- Auxiliary data unique to your industry or program requirements (i.e. Unit Number).
The Multi Service in-house card embossing machine also encodes your private label card stock with two (2) tracks of data within the magnetic strip. Track one (1) and track two (2) data include pertinent information regarding your customer’s account and the end-user of your private label card.
Card Fraud Prevention.
Three additional fraud security options are available for your private label program. Multi Service can encode a Multi Service Verification Number (MSVN) within the magnetic stripe of your customers’ cards. An MSVN will help detect a fraudulent card when the card is swiped at the point of sale. When your customers order over the phone, online or through any sales channel that does not require a card swipe, a Secondary Multi Service Verification Number (MSVN2) can be utilized. This three-digit code included on the back of the card, will help prevent fraudulent account use.
Alternatively, Multi Service provides you with the option to include Address Verification Services or Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) into your private label program. At the point of sale, card users will be asked to provide numeric address information or their PIN. Multi Service verifies that the information provided by the card user matches the information on file and approves the card for use.
