NOAA Joins SEA Card®.
International marine fuel suppliers on the SEA Card® program continue to expand their business opportunities as additional agencies of the United States Government join the program. In March, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) became the latest government agency to adopt the online fuel procurement system.
NOAA, an agency of the United States Department of Commerce, will conduct both domestic and international lifts through the SEA Card® interface. The administration became active in the SEA Card® system on March 11, 2010 with 17 vessels, completing its first order through the SEA Card® program that same day. Over the past month, NOAA has submitted nearly a dozen lift requests through the system.
